You love your child deeply. But you’re running on empty

You love your child deeply. But you're running on empty.

Ootulivu offers structure, support, involvement, and breathing room to families raising children with autism - so you can move forward, together.

Trust Introduction

Trust Introduction

Ootulivu was not the result of a business plan or a market opportunity. It arrived in 2022 at 3:45 in the morning in Nairobi, Kenya. In the stillness of a cool breeze, a vision came — clear, quiet, and impossible to ignore. A mother walks into her son’s room. She picks him up. Looks into his eyes. And whispers: “I love you lots, son. But I need a break.
That moment has never left us. It is the reason Ootulivu exists.
We are here for that mother. For that father. For every family that loves their child completely — and is quietly, desperately running on empty. You deserve more than care for your child. You deserve to be part of the journey. To understand it. To grow through it — together. That is what Ootulivu was called to do.

Is Ootulivu Right For You?

Is Ootulivu Right For You?

Ootulivu is not for everyone - and that is intentional. We partner with families who have accepted that they need support and are ready to be part of it. Parents who are busy, successful, and deeply committed to their child’s future. Families who don’t want someone to take over - they want a structured, knowledgeable partner to walk alongside them. If you are looking for someone to hand your child to and step away, we are not the right fit. If you are ready to be involved, informed, and invested - you are exactly who Ootulivu was built for.

How We Work

01

We Partner, We Don’t Replace You

You are not a bystander in your child’s development. From the very first session, you are involved in what we do, how we do it, and why. Because the most important work happens at home - and you are the ones doing it.

02

Every Session Has a Plan

Nothing we do is ad hoc. Each session is purposeful, and before we leave, you know exactly what comes next and why. Structure is not just what we provide for your child, it is how we operate with your family.

03

We Are In It for the Long Term

Real development takes time. We do not work on a one-time or drop-in basis. We commit to your family’s journey and we expect the same in return. This is a partnership built on consistency, trust, and shared purpose.

04

The Goal is Independence

Everything we do points toward one outcome - helping your child become an independent, responsible, and confident member of society. That is the horizon we are always working toward, together.

What to Expect

Every child is unique. Every family is different. We make no guarantees — because we work with human beings, not formulas. What we can tell you is what families who commit to the journey typically begin to experience:

Predictability

Your child’s behaviour becomes more consistent — and so does your response to it. Chaos begins to give way to pattern. Pattern gives way to confidence.

Rest

Exhaustion doesn’t disappear overnight. But with structure and genuine support in place, the weight becomes lighter. You are no longer carrying this alone.

Connection

Happiness and affection within the family unit grows. Not because the challenges vanish — but because you are navigating them together, with tools that work.

Confidence

You begin to see it — your child developing the ability to handle aspects of life independently. That moment when you realize they can do something you weren’t sure they ever would.

Your Child Engaging With the World

Above everything else, this is what we work toward. A happy child. One who engages with the world around them openly, positively, and on their own terms.

These are not promises. These are what becomes possible when a family commits — and when the right support shows up alongside them.

Why Ootulivu

Ootulivu was not founded by a clinician. It was founded on a conviction. A conviction that families raising children with autism deserve more than a service. They deserve a partner — one that shows up consistently, involves them completely, and walks with you for as long as the journey requires.

To deliver on that conviction, we are deliberate about who we bring onto our team. We hire experienced early childhood educators who have worked directly with children on the autism spectrum. Beyond qualifications, we look for two things above everything else: character and the willingness to be taught.

Because at Ootulivu, how we work matters as much as what we do. Every team member is trained in the Ootulivu way — a structured, family-first approach that puts parents at the centre of their child’s development.

The vision is clear. The standards are non-negotiable. And the commitment to your family is unwavering.

How We Support Your Family

Every family begins with a conversation. Before anything else, we take the time to understand your child - where they are, what they need, and what your family is navigating day to day. From there, we work with you to choose the level of support that fits your situation.

You Don't Have To Carry This Alone

You have been doing this longer than you should have had to - often without the right support, often without anyone truly understanding the weight of it.

We do.

Ootulivu was built for this moment. For the parent who is ready to stop carrying it alone and start moving forward - with a partner who shows up, stays present, and never loses sight of what matters most.

Your child. Your family. Your journey.

When you are ready, we are here.
